Marugame Udon Taman Anggrek

So initially I headed to Taman Anggrek to watch The Amazing Spiderman 2, but unfortunately all the tickets were sold out (aargh, still haven't got the chance to watch!) so an 'emergency plan' needed. Yep, you guess it right! The emergency plan was to find a restaurant to eat :p
Finally I dropped my choice to Marugame Udon. Marugame Udon is a restaurant that has udon, tempura and rice bowl as its specialty. At Taman Anggrek, Marugame Udon is located very near with the Ice Rink.

The food can be directly ordered at the counter and then the freshly cooked udon will be added by meat and soup or other addition in just a minute! Way faster than instant noodle LOL! Here you go, you get your fresh warm udon. For side dishes (mostly tempura), you can do it by self-service.
The udon and rice bowl prices are ranging around IDR 33k to 50k, while the tempuras have pretty various prices, averaging around IDR 10k-14k.

Beef Curry Udon (IDR 50k)
Freshly cooked udon with sukiyaki meat and thick curry soup, added with chives on top. The udon is kinda thick and a bit spongy which is nice. I found the sukiyaki meat is soft and good. The curry soup, as you know, is thick and tasty enough. It could be spicier and stronger in flavor though. But overall this Beef Curry Udon still has the original beef curry taste and would be a good companion during cold weather.

Niku Udon (IDR 45k)
Niku Udon is udon with sukiyaki meat, poured with the warm kake dashi soup and chives on top. Looks like a classic udon, but the taste never lies. The broth is so nice and makes this Niku Udon delicious! Personally I really like this Niku Udon because it's simple yet delicious and for it's authentic taste.

Tori Tempura (IDR 12k)
The tempuras in Marugame Udon come in pretty large size so it's about enough to take one or two with a bowl of udon. I tried Tori Tempura and Ebi Tempura this time. Tori Tempura is a deep fried chicken fillet tempura. Decent enough :)

Ebi Tempura (IDR 14k)
Ebi Tempura is a deep fried shrimp tempura. It's deep, crunchy and big enough. Should have it to make things complete.
