The design here is quite simple with just enough space and cozy. Dim lights, wooden tables and a bar inside. They also have a wooden cabinet to display some wine bottles. Nothing too fancy here though.
I picked one table with sofa to have a comfortable time dining in.
Let's see what I got here. And oh, I got two FREE side dish promo yeay! =D
German Potato Salad (IDR 15k)
Let's start with the some light bites for the opener. I tempted to try this American-ish side dish. Sliced potato with peas and bacon!! (you can opt turkey instead of bacon). Served in a kinda shallow bowl, keeping it simple and plain. The taste was actually nice, everything was soft and sauteed well. The bacon was cut into small pieces, I wish I had more of it :p.
Potato Wedges (IDR 15k)
Another American light bites, but this time I opted for the spicier one. A simple yet tasty thin-cut potato wedges, who can resist it? The wedges were actually a bit too spicy for me, just a little bit.
Stuffed Crispy Potato (IDR 35k)
Just one more dish to tickle my belly before I entered to the main course and yet another potato dish! (a bit obsessed with potato! HAHA). In one serving, there were three chunks of stuffed crispy potato. The potatoes were very nice and served still with the skin, the crispiness level was just there. For the filling, there were mashed potato and sliced turkey meat (you can choose bacon instead), added with some dressing on top. The dish completed with mayonnaise and mustard for the dressing sauce.
Chicken Cordon Bleu (IDR 75k)
Initially ordered Stuffed Chicken Roullette, the waiter said this has changed into a new version. But then this Chicken Cordon Bleu that was served, I was bit confused with this small misunderstanding (yeah, I believe it was a misunderstanding *keeping a positivity in mind*). I'd enjoy this anyway. Then cordon bleu came with salad and seasoned fries. The salad didn't attract my attention at all but they got a quite well-seasoned fries, a good one to accompany the cordon bleu. The cordon bleu itself was tender, with mayonnaise sauce dressing on top. The sauce for the cordon bleu was balsamic gravy sauce. Pretty unique and rather strong taste indeed and fair enough size of the cordon bleu.
I believe trademark dish from a restaurant should be good and unique. And Jill in Marketbar, you nailed it! The Foodglasses want to say that this was really guuh-reatt! Let's breakdown the components.
First is the sauteed turmeric rice. It was pretty much the same with Nasi Kuning (Indonesian Yellow Rice) but not that sticky like Nasi Kuning and a bit drier. This was exquisite! I loved the strong spice flavor from the turmeric rice.
Second is the dory. Two things that a good dory must have are soft texture and tasty flavor. This dish had both of them, bravo! The dory was fresh as well.
Third one is the salad dressing. Another strong flavor component that came from the lemon sauce. Mixed well with the other components.
Finally, the platting was also nice as there was sweet chili sauce around the plate. My rating for this dish = DA BOOM!
Something simple and fresh for the drink. Sweet rather than acidic. Soothing and not too concentrated. With strawberry fruit as the final elegant touch. But I wasn't too sure about the price.
