This cute dessert house is yet ANOTHER addition to the long cafe and restaurant list in Pantai Indah Kapuk. Since it's emergence, this dessert house has been a HIT, especially for all the sweettooth out there :).
BOO! You cannot be scared because this dessert house is too adorableee! XD. With a name picked from 'peek-a-boo' phrase, Cake-A-Boo definitely wants to give you a 'surprise' with its creative desserts. The space here is pretty packed with colorful decorations, dominantly in orange and blue, Cake-A-Boo main colors. From the outside, the store looks like a factory with many pipes hanging above. A cute dessert factory I presume :D.
The one that also caught the eyes is its conveyor belt to display the desserts. And luckily, I visited Cake-A-Boo in Christmas period, so I can snapped this Christmas-themed display.
You can directly pick your dessert here just like when you're eating sushi.
Nutella Burger (IDR 35k)
Burger! And oh, Nutella! Perhaps, this is one of the most creative combination that I can think about so far! This is of course not like the rest of savory burgers, it is a sweet burger!
The patty is made from Nutella, yes! This Nutella also contains some rice crispy to add some crunchiness to the patty. For all Nutella lovers, this patty was blowing my tongue. Rich in sweet taste and soft.
Usually we find some lettuces and tomatoes to make our burger 'healthier', but these are resembled by assorted fruits (strawberry, kiwi and orange) in the Nutella Burger. Since those are assorted fruits, the taste aren't that sweet.
And finally, two bright red buns to sandwich all the stuffs. YUM!
Volcano Cake (IDR 35k)
Next, it's also one of the famous pick here. It's the Volcano Cake. A small mountain-shaped chocolate sponge cake drizzled with chocolate and cherry sauces. First, I thought the sauce would ooze out from the cake when I split the cake but it turned out to be only on the surface.
The cake was delicate and again rich in sweet taste. Both sauces were also great and yummy.
I love the gooey texture from this Volcano Cake.
Volcano has never been this sweet (and cool!). Hahaha.
The Merry Berry (IDR 35k)
The good old Strawberry smoothies. Simple yet so tempting. Served with patterned-cut strawberry fruit. I really like the freshness and the softness of it but the taste was a bit too plain for my taste buds. If the strawberry taste was bolder, it would be merrier :).
The Red Crush (IDR 35k)
I went for another pinky! This one is watermelon smoothies. Almost the same like The Merry Berry one but, this was juicier since it was watermelon based. The Red Crush was very refreshing and the sweet taste from watermelon really came out. It was really great!
I am crushing on this <3
With it's unique, creative design and desserts, Cake-A-Boo is really people's favorite right now. Thank you for the sweet surprise! Wishing this uber cute dessert house much success in the near future!
BOO!
Note : I couldn't find Cake-A-Boo map. Here's Hong Tang's map, Cake-A-Boo should be in one row with it.
